About Us

The Romanian Architects’ and Urbanists’ Forum (RAUF) is an association formed by a team of Romanian architects, designers and town planners practicing in the UK.

RAUF was established in 2015 as an initiative to open up channels of communication and collaboration between architects and urbanists practicing in the UK. The Forum aims to promote an exchange of knowledge and best practice between professional organisations and their members, within the built environment. With the support of our partners, we have grown to approximately 300 members and associates.

We host biannual events on key topics relating to architecture, design and the built environment and engage relevant industry figures to help shape the quality of our cities

In accordance with the guidance published by the Charity Commission in CC9, the association is independent, non-partisan and non-aligned with any political parties.

Next Event

100 Years Past, 100 Years To Come

November 17th, 2018

Our next event will take place on the 17th of November, at the RIBA Forum in London

The event celebrates two different visions for the future, the making of a global financial centre in London and at the other end of the spectrum that of a sustainable and ecological conservation.

Sir George Iacobescu and Arch. Silvia Demeter Lowe are touching on their journeys to and from the two countries and the mark they have made in the built environment.
RAUF initiated an active dialogue between the RIBA and OAR and are in the process of formalising a tri-partite collaboration based on best practice and knowledge sharing.

Tickets are available here.
